Of course the key to any meat shop is the merchandise it sells. This is where the Mill Valley Market meat shop stands alone. We are committed to providing the highest quality, natural beef. By this we mean that our meat contains no antibiotics, chemical additives, hormones or artificial growth stimulants.
Since 1987 we’ve featured beef produced by Harris Ranch under the "Verified Production Control" (VPC) program. Beef carrying the U. S. Department of Agriculture VPC Seal of Approval is guaranteed to be 100 percent natural.
Our meat department also features antibiotic-, hormone- and growth stimulant-free chickens and free-range Willie Bird turkeys from Sonoma County.
To ensure that our fish is as fresh as possible, a member of our shop goes to the San Francisco Fish Market to personally hand-select the very freshest fish available.
We make many of our sausages right on the premises. Among our most popular sausages are our Italian (hot or mild), the Chicken Turkey with sun dried tomatoes and basil, and a low-fat, natural Lemon Chicken made with potatoes. They’re all made with natural spices and contain no nitrates. We also make our own ground beef, usually twice a day, so you can be sure it’s fresh and safe.
