We've always been about fresh produce. Founder Frank Canepa (our Grandfather) opened the store as a produce market in 1929. He insisted on picking out the produce himself. Today, owner David Canepa and produce manager Kevin Dossett continue that tradition. We are the first buyers at the produce market each buying day to ensure we get first pick. Local, farm direct, organic, and conventional all find a home in our produce department. Quality and freshness are of utmost importance. Now, more than ever, we strive to support the local farmer whenever possible. Our goal is from the farm to our store in the same day.
